Melody of Dragons

Lunar Insurrection Book 1

Guinevere doesn’t know she’s dead.

All she’s dreamed about since logging in to the sensational video game The Mists of Arathia is finding the fame, fortune, and power that’s out of reach in real life.
Two years into her gaming binge, nothing is going according to plan. Guinevere and Rey, the Non-Player Character she accidentally recruited to her cause saved the world, and no one knows their names!

Now, their Main Quest is to travel to the capital city and bring news of the deceased prince to the king. But they’re dragged into a Side Quest involving a stolen Dragon Egg and another player from Guinevere’s old world. Only their stories about how they ended up in the game don’t match: according to her new sneakthief companion, all players signed a contract to sacrifice their lives in the old world and start over in a new one.

But Guinevere didn’t agree to anything. She was tricked. Murdered.

If they complete their Main Quest, maybe they’ll uncover a nugget of truth about who forced her here, and why.
If only they didn’t have to avoid getting burned alive by a Bronze Dragon or the Dragonslayers who want to kill it and steal the egg they’re trying to return to the mother!

For fans of Dungeons and Dragons and Discworld, the Lunar Insurrection series is comprised of novella-length installments that build on the larger story and world, but can also be enjoyed as individual tales out of order.

Erynn Lehtonen

One day, Erynn’s army of fluffy minions will take over the world. But, well, she hasn’t had any luck animating stuffed animals yet! Ever since graduating with her degree in creative writing from the University of British Columbia, you can usually find her typing away at her next fantasy novel like her life depends on it. Other times, she’s locked inside a book, be that reading about dragons, mythology, folklore, or daydreaming in another fantasy world. She also entertains a “mild” tea obsession and guards her hoard like any bookdragon would. It’s her goal to introduce readers to the complexities of mental illness through the perspectives of lifelike characters in fantasy worlds.
